ROCKSTAR Energy Drink / Makita Power Tools’ Off Road Heads To Utah This Weekend For LOORRS Racing

The Rockstar Makita Off Road Teams of Rob Macachren, Todd LeDuc, and Brian Deegan are heading out to the state-of-the-art Miller Motorsports facility in Tooele, Utah this weekend for Rounds 7 and 8 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS).

Miller Motorsports Park features a 4.5 mile road racing course, and an auto museum on the premises. The short course track is just under a mile long, with large banked turns and the fastest straightaways of all the LOORRS tracks, plus a mammoth table top jump and a six-pack rhythm section.  Covered grandstands provide shade and a view of the entire course. As with all LOORRS events, access to the pits on race weekend is open to the public and included with every ticket purchase so fans can get up close to meet the drivers and see Makita's best in class tools at work in the pits.

In Pro 2 action, Rockstar Makita's Rob MacCachren will be looking to settle some scores this weekend.  “The Utah fans are great, and I love the facility.” MacCachren explains.  “Last year we couldn’t shake the gremlins though and I am coming back this year intent on giving the fans their money’s worth.”  MacCachren was the fast qualifier for both rounds of 2011 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) short course races at Miller Motorsports Park, but mechanical issues forced him to finish mid-pack in both instances.  “This year we have everything in place to win in Utah,” MacCachren went on to state.  After six rounds of LOORRS racing Rob Mac is currently second in season points after six races that include two victories and two more podium finishes in the premier Pro2 Unlimited class.

Reigning Pro 2 Champ, Brian Deegan will also be gunning for the win this weekend in his Rockstar Makita Ford Pro 2.  "The General" has a couple of wins under his belt already this season and he currently sits fifth in the Pro 2 points standings.  With both MacCachren and Deegan going for the win, it should produce some crazy, action packed, door to door racing and we can expect to see both guys up on the podium this weekend.

Todd LeDuc will be looking for his first win of the season in the Pro 4 class.  Todd has a slew of second place finishes this season and will be looking to overtake his younger brother and fellow Makita athlete, Kyle LeDuc for the rights to stand on the top of the podium.  Todd is currently second in points and looking to move up.

If you are in the Salt Lake City area you won’t want to miss the live racing action at the beautiful Miller Motorsports Park.  You can also catch the racing action from one of the previous races this Sunday on CBS at 8pm EST.  Don't miss it!  Check out the preview trailer below:
