The X-Games kick-off this weekend, and Makita-backed athletes Brian Deegan and Todd Potter will be part of the action.
Brian Deegan, 13 time X games medalist, returns to Los Angeles this weekend to defend his title in rallycross on Sunday in his Rockstar Makita Ford Fiesta. The multi-talented athlete will also compete in the Moto X Step Up event tonight.
The high-octane sport of rallycross, which Brian Deegan has described as “motocross – with a roll cage,” is a made-in-the USA take on the established European sport of rallycross, pits production-based, small cars against each other for door-to-door racing featuring dirt and asphalt. See below for an exclusive video of Deegan testing at the Willow Springs track in California.
Joining Deegan will be the Makita-backed Todd Potter, who will also compete this weekend in the Moto X Step Up. Potter is also competing in tonight's free style motocross competition, as well as in tomorrow night's best whip contest.
Brian Deegan is defending his X-Games title in rallycross.
Todd Potter will compete for X Games Gold in motocross step-up and freestyle MX.
