MAKITA READY FOR WORLD OF CONCRETE 2012 IN LAS VEGAS

Makita booth "loaded" with more concrete, more hands-on demonstrations, and more new tools

For World of Concrete attendees, the Makita booth experience is all about trying out the tools and feeling the difference for themselves.

JANUARY 17, 2012 – La Mirada, CA   Thousands of concrete contractors and dealers are gathering in Las Vegas for the annual World of Concrete trade show, and Makita is ready.

The concrete industry's biggest annual event is hitting the Las Vegas Convention Center for four days next week, January 24-27, and Makita will be there highlighting its growing line-up of best-in-class concrete solutions with interactive displays and hands-on demonstrations.

"This is our favorite trade show because it’s all about concrete professionals trying out the tools and feeling the difference for themselves,” said Adam Livingston, Makita Product Manager, Commercial Products. “It’s also an opportunity to show our very latest best-in-class solutions, and this year we’re excited to demonstrate our expanding line of dust extraction accessories, new brushless motor technology, and more.”

“Makita tools are best-in-class and engineered for industrial performance and results,” said Wayne Hart, Communications Manager. “But a vital part of performance is how the tool feels in your hand, day after day. Makita tools combine performance, power and results with superior comfort and ergonomics. In the end, they simply feel better, and next week the concrete pro’s at World of Concrete will be able to feel the difference for themselves.”

Makita will have a few surprises at World of Concrete next week, including more hands-on demonstrations.

“We’re loaded with concrete so you will see more tool demonstrations at the Makita booth this year,” said Livingston. “We’ve created hands-on demonstrations that highlight our new dust extraction solutions including our new jobsite vacuum and new accessories for grinding, cutting, tuck pointing, and surfacing. We’ll also have the latest in our growing line-up of LXT Brushless Motor technology, and plenty of opportunities to try out our AVT-equipped rotary and demolition hammers. And attendees will be pleasantly surprised at the odds of winning our frequent tool giveaways at the booth, because we’ll be drawing winners every hour for end users who try out our demo stations and feel the difference for themselves.”

Makita is exhibiting in the Silver Lot, booth O30026. To register for WOC, go to worldofconcrete.com, and enter Source Code BUY for a discount on Exhibits-Only Admission.
