New jobsite radio delivers big sound in compact size, and features new iPhone®/iPod® docking station

La Mirada, CA Makita, a worldwide manufacturer of technologically advanced power tools that are more compact with less weight yet deliver industrial strength power and results, has released a new 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Jobsite Radio, model LXRM03B.
The 18V LXT® Jobsite Radio is a new addition to Makita’s 18V cordless series, with 60+ cordless tools powered by one fast-charging 18V Lithium-Ion battery.
“Makita continues to be the market leader in 18 volt Lithium-Ion, and this new radio is a new addition to the expanding 18V LXT® line-up,” said Mario Lopez, Makita Product Manager, Cordless Tools. “We’ve kept the great sound and compact size that contractors liked about the existing jobsite radio, but with this new model we added more settings and iPhone® compatibility. Rich Sound, Increased Compatibility
With two auxiliary ports for MP3/iPod® compatibility, the LXRM03B delivers rich stereo sound from two powerful 3" side-firing speakers. The radio can be powered by Makita 9.6V - 18V slide-style and pod-style batteries, including up to 16 hours of run time with the fast-charging 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion battery (sold separately). The LXRM03B is engineered to stand up against harsh jobsite conditions. Pairing protective bumpers and water-resistant construction, the radio has increased durability.
