Makita MAC2400 goes two-for-two in side-by-side reviews
It's rare that the press conducts side-by-side reviews of portable air compressors. But in this month alone, a respected online tool reviewer and a top woodworking publication both lined up a room full of air compressors to pick the best.
The Makita MAC2400 came out on top in both reviews.
Earlier this month toolmonger.com picked the Makita MAC2400 as "Best Overall" in a side-by-side review of eight jobsite compressors (go here for more).
This week, Wood Magazine released their portable air compressor review. Wood lined up 11 models from Bosch, Bostitch, Campbell Hausfeld, Craftsman, Dewalt, Hitachi, Husky, Makita, Porter-Cable, Ridgid, and Senco. In the end, the Makita MAC2400 came out on top as "Top Tool." The Wood Magazine editor particularly liked the low noise, robust cast-iron pump, and the induction motor for longer tool life.
