MAKITA'S OFF ROAD TEAMS SET TO DO BATTLE ON HOME TURF

The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series returns to Glen Helen Raceway for Round 9 & 10

Todd and Kyle LeDuc battle it out in Pro 4 action

Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, Ca will play host to Rounds 9 & 10 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series this weekend, August 6th and 7th.  Glen Helen is considered to be the hometown race for the Makita backed Off Road teams of Rockstar Makita LeDuc Racing, Rockstar Metal Mulisha Makita's Brian Deegan and the Stronghold Motorsports team due to the fact that they are all from the Southern California area.

The Rockstar Makita LeDuc Racing team of Curt, Todd and Kyle LeDuc of Cherry Valley, CA are ready to show the hometown crowd that they belong on the podium.  Kyle LeDuc is coming off a win in Pro 4's at the last round and has shown he has what it takes to be up front at each and every race and Curt and Todd LeDuc have shown the speed necessary to put their Rockstar Makita Ford trucks up on the podium as well.  The LeDuc’s come into Glen Helen looking to make a statement in Pro 4 action.  The team is more than capable of running up front and has their sites set on nothing less than a podium finish. “We’re really happy to be back at Glen Helen in our own back yard,” said Todd LeDuc. “I want to put on a good show for my hometown crowd and put my Rockstar Makita Ford truck up on the podium.”

"The General," Brian Deegan is also a local hero and is carrying a lot of momentum coming into the Glen Helen race.  Brian just recently wrapped up another gold medal at X Games 17 in Rallycross and already has multiple podium finishes in the Lucas Oil series this season.  The General has been one of the most consistent drivers in the Pro 2 class and is currently second in points, just 3 points behind the leader.  In Pro Lite competiton, Deegan is a former champ and has claimed victory several times this season so he'll be gunning for another one this weekend.

Rob Naughton and Jeremy McGrath of the Makita backed Stronghold Motorsports team are coming into Glen Helen red hot after finishing first and second respectively in Pro 2's at the last race.  The team is looking to repeat in front of the hometown crowd this weekend.  "Like Miller, Glen Helen is another tight track and it's really hard on equipment but I think we're ready for it. It's great to have that one-two finish for the Stronghold team but my goal is to put this truck on top in front of the home crowd," said Jeremy McGrath.

It going to be a great weekend of racing out at the famed Glen Helen Raceway.  Racing action kicks off on Saturday and Sunday evening at 7pm.  If you can't make it out to the race, be sure to catch all the action on SPEED and CBS.  Check your local listings for airtimes.
