MAKITA'S OFF ROAD RACE TEAMS CAPTURE PODIUM FINISHES IN SURPRISE

Kyle LeDuc takes second and Brian Deegan captures another victory

Deegan held the lead briefly in Pro 2's.

Speedworld Raceway, located in the northwest corner of Phoenix, AZ, played host to some of the greatest Off Road truck racers in the world this past weekend.  Fans were treated to bright sunshine, warm temperatures, pleasant breezes and some action packed racing.

"The General," Brian Deegan proved once again that he is the man to beat in ProLites.   Deegan moved to the front of the pack early in the race and after an epic battle with fellow Makita sponsored driver, Chris Brandt, he was able to bring home another win on Saturday.  So far this season, Brian has two wins in four races and finished on the podium in the other two races.   In Pro 2 competition, Deegan had another great showing in which he was able to put his Rockstar Metal Mulisha Makita Ford up on the podium in third place.  In only his rookie season in Pro 2's, "the general" has already captured two podium finishes in 4 races.  Brian has put himself in good points standings in both classes in the hunt for the overall championships.

In Pro 4 action, the Rockstar Makita LeDuc racing team of Curt, Todd and Kyle LeDuc came out to Surprise and put on quite a show.  All three drivers ran near the front of the pack all weekend.  The team was engaged in some epic battles but mechanical issues forced Curt and Todd to suffer less than great finishes.  Kyle however was the fastest man on the track and was pressuring for the lead all weekend.  He turned the fasted lap of the day but just simply ran out of laps on Saturday and had to settle for a hard fought second place.  Kyle was able to gain some valuable points in the race for the championship.

If you weren't able to make it out to the race to see all of the action then you can catch it all on CBS, May 8th at 1pm est.
