MAKITA'S OFF ROAD TEAM'S DOMINATE IN THE ARIZONA HEAT

Kyle LeDuc and Brian Deegan both claim victories

Deegan airs out his Rockstar Metal Mulisha Makita Pro 2 Unlimited truck.

The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series got back underway this past weekend at Speed World Off Road Park in Surprise, AZ!  It marked rounds 11 and 12 of the 15 round series and the racing on the track was intense.  The resilient Arizona fans once again packed the stands despite the high temperatures and unabated sun, and they were treated to a full day of thrilling races with Makita backed drivers claiming victories in multiple classes.

“Our Makita-backed teams had an awesome weekend,” said Brent Withey, Makita Director of Marketing. “It’s great to see our Makita power tools in the hands of the teams’ skilled mechanics, keeping their trucks on-track and in contention all weekend to help propel these champions to the podium.”

In Pro 4 Unlimited Action, the Rockstar Makita LeDuc Racing team of Todd, Kyle, and Curt LeDuc ran strong all weekend long and in the end, Kyle LeDuc stood on top of the podium after taking his third and fourth win of the season.  Kyle was strong all weekend long but on Saturday, no one could match Kyle's speed in the Pro 4 Unlimited class.  Kyle started out the race in third place but by lap 3, he had moved into the lead and never looked back.  Kyle's brother Todd had a solid day on Saturday as well fighting hard and finishing with his Rockstar Makita Ford inside the top 5.

On Sunday, Todd LeDuc came out ready to race in his Rockstar Makita Ford truck and threw down the fastest lap time in practice to take the pole in Pro 4 action.  Once the race started, Todd jumped into the lead and was followed closely by his brother Kyle in second.  The Rockstar Makita drivers ran first and second well past the halfway mark when Todd made a slight mistake which allowed his brother Kyle to take the lead.  Kyle never looked back and captured another victory to take the weekend sweep in the Pro 4 Unlimited class.  Todd managed to recover from his mistake and fought his way back up to put his Rockstar Makita Ford truck on the podium along with his brother in third place.

Rockstar Metal Mulisha Makita's Brian Deegan had an excellent weekend as well and managed to capture victories in ProLite Unlimited and in the talent rich Pro 2 Unlimited class.  On Saturday, the Rockstar Metal Mulisha Makita driver led the Pro 2 race for all 18 laps to get his second straight win in the class, and he also managed to take another win in the Pro Lites.  On Sunday, Deegan dominated the Pro Lite field again to capture his 4th victory in the class and managed to take a hard fought second place in Pro 2 Action.  Along with four wins in Pro Lite Unlimited, 2 consecutive wins in Pro 2's and an X Games gold medal, it has certainly been a great two months of racing for "The General."

It was a great weekend of racing for the Makita backed drivers and Makita tools was there with them all the way in the pits to help keep their trucks in race ready condition.  All of the action from this weekends racing will be broadcast on CBS Sports on Saturday, October 15th at 2pm eastern time.  Don't miss it!
