Team riders D.J. Eckstrom and Shaun Crapo advanced to the main event with top three finishes in the qualifying round. At the onset of the main event both drivers charged to the lead, only to get caught up in a first turn melee. As the tangle worked itself free, both guys set out mid pack while the leaders pulled away. After thirty laps D.J. and Shaun closed the distance and came across the finish line in 8th and 10th place. Snow dust was also a limiting factor in the nighttime finale, as the challenging track developed mammoth holes which swallowed up entire machines and made passing impossible.
