Rockstar Makita LeDuc Finishes the Season Perfect With
the 2008 Best in the Desert Championship
For the 6th time in 7 years the LeDuc family has brought home the class 8000 Best in the Desert crown. This year was extra special because it was the first year the team was powered by Rockstar Energy Drink and Makita Power Tools. The Rockstar Makita LeDuc team completely dominated the class by not losing a race all season, in fact they were the only class 8000 truck to finish the final race. “With Makita Power Tools in our shop we can build a truck that’s going to last”, Curt LeDuc said. “They are one of the main reasons we didn’t break down once during the entire 200 mile race.”
Rob Macachren Awarded 2008 SCORE Person of the Year
This past weekend in Primm, Nevada Rockstar Makita Rivera Racing’s very own Rob MacCachren was voted by over 2,500 SCORE International members as the 2008 SCORE Person of the Year. The SCORE President/CEO Sal Fish had this to say about Rob, “Rob MacCachren embodies the true spirit and talent of SCORE desert racers and this selection by his peers reflects all that he has meant for so many years to our sport. Rob is not only a great desert racer he is one of the most media and sponsor-friendly drivers we have in our sport.
