ROCKSTAR MAKITA LEDUC TAKES TWO SECOND-PLACE FINISHES AT SECOND CORR EVENT OF THE SEASON

MAY 23, 2008  La Mirada, CA -- Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) is just about the only place where you’ll see trucks jumping, mud flying, and heavy competition – all at the same time. And last weekend, nearly 25,000 fans saw it all at the second CORR event of the season at Primm Valley, Nevada. Amidst the madness and mayhem of CORR, one of the most exciting teams to watch was Rockstar Makita LeDuc, which had a strong showing over the weekend. With two second place finishes, as well as a fourth and sixth place spot, the team definitely showed that they are one of the top teams in CORR.

Saturday May 17, 2008 – Day one of CORR at the first series of races at Primm Valley, NV. started off with Rob MacCachren of Team Menzies / Rockstar energy drink dominating the competion again winning the Pro Buggy race. Next up in the Pro 2 class Ricky Johnson of Team Red Bull and Jeremy McGrath of Baldwin Racing took first and second, while Rockstar Makita LeDuc driver Todd LeDuc took 19th because of some technical problems that forced him off the track during lap 8.

In the Pro-lites Jeff Kincaid of Team Traxxas took first while Brian Deegan of Rockstar Makita LeDuc started in the 21st position but fought his way through the pack to finish 6th. Directly after that in the Pro 4 race Johnny Greaves of Team Monster Energy Drink took first, with Rockstar Makita LeDuc’s very own Curt LeDuc taking second. Unfortunately after having the fastest qualifying time of the day mechanical problems forced Kyle LeDuc of Rockstar Makita LeDuc off of the track by Lap 4.

Sunday May 18, 2008 – Rob Macachren lead the day off in the Pro 2 race taking first and Carl Renezeder of Team Lucas Oil taking second. Todd LeDuc was muscling his way to the top until the 8th lap when he made a small error and ended up rolling his truck on the turn leaving him stuck on the outside wall. Kyle LeDuc on the other hand took second in the Pro 4 race behind Team Fabtech’s Rick Huseman. Curt LeDuc finished only 13 seconds behind his son taking fourth for his second strong showing of the weekend. To finish it all off, Greg George of Funco Racing took first in the Pro Buggy race.
