POPULAR WOODWORKING PICKS MAKITA AS "BEST"

New Compact Lithium-Ion Driver-Drill named a "Best New Tool" for 2008

Popular Woodworking Magazine named the Makita 10.8V Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless Driver-Drill (DF030DW, at middle-right) a Best New Tool for 2008.

The Editors at Popular Woodworking liked the compact size, high torque, two-speed gearbox, and 18 clutch settings, and called the DF030DW “a high-quality compact tool” with “the right set of features for woodworking.” The magazine also noted Makita’s new 10.8V Compact Lithium-Ion Impact Driver (TD090DW), recommending it to woodworkers seeking extra driving power.

Popular Woodworking picked just 12 products as part of their annual “Best New Tools” feature, which was published in their December 2008 issue.

The DF030DW and TD090DW are Makita’s new 10.8V Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless tools that combine pro power and pro speed with an ultra-compact design. Both tools are available separately in kits, and together in a combo kit (LCT203W, bottom-right).
