April 26, 2008, LA MIRADA, CA - Championship Off Road Racing’s (CORR) eight-event 2008 series began with a bang in Pomona, CA, and the new Rockstar Makita Team LeDuc was a force throughout the wild weekend.
After a full day of mud-flying, truck-flipping action in the heats on Saturday, racing resumed on Sunday with the main events. The Pro Buggy class was dominated by Rob MacCachren of Team Rockstar Energy Drink/Menzies Motorsports. The Pro 2 race was a different story, as MacCachren still took first but Todd LeDuc of Rockstar Makita Team LeDuc was on his tail holding second for almost the entire race. LeDuc ended up getting squeezed by Carl Renezeder and Jerry Welchel at the very end, but held on for fourth place.
In the Pro 4 class, Renezeder ended up taking first but was pushed hard by Kyle and Curt LeDuc of Rockstar Makita Team LeDuc. However, later in the race both Curt and Kyle LeDuc had mechanical problems and finishing ninth and eleventh.
Makita is a co-sponsor of Rockstar Makita Team LeDuc, and is the Official Tool Sponsor of Championship Off Road Racing (CORR). The action resumes on May 17-18 in Primm, NV at the Las Vegas International Off Road Raceway.
