3709 has rack and pinion adjustment for fine depth settings

This new laminate trimmer features rack and pinion adjustment, a slim design, and high RPM’s for smooth trimming and routing applications.
“Makita’s new ¼" Laminate Trimmer has more RPM’s for better woodworking applications,” said Brent Withey, Makita brand manager. “The trimmer is also compact with less weight, with a range of features that make the 3709 easier to operate.”
The 3709 has a 4-AMP motor that delivers 30,000 RPM for smooth trimming and light routing applications. The super smooth rack and pinion fine depth adjustment is designed for precision trimming, and the transparent base gives a clear view of the trimming edge.
The 3709 is engineered with comfort and convenience features for better control and ease of use. The trimmer has an ergonomic slim body design and a rubberized soft grip, while the top-mounted electrical cord stays out of the way for easier operation. The 3709 is compact with less weight (3.3 lbs.), and is built for woodworkers, finish carpenters, and any other tradesman seeking a best-in-class laminate trimmer.
Model 3709 includes the trimmer, ¼” collet cone, trimmer guide, template guide, wrench 10, wrench 17, straight bit, and chip deflector.
