New BO5031K delivers fast, smooth performance with variable speed control
JULY 7, 2009 – La Mirada, Calif. – Makita, a worldwide manufacturer of technologically advanced power tools that are more compact with less weight yet deliver industrial strength power and results, is proud to announce the release of its new 5” Random Orbit Sander (model BO5031K). The new sander features a variable speed control dial (4,000 - 12,000 OPM) and large 1/8” random orbit action for fast and smooth sanding, as well as a rubberized palm grip for better control. It is ideal for wood workers and finish carpenters who require a best-in-class sander.
The new finishing sander features a pad control system for controlled pad speed upon start-up, with a powerful 3-AMP motor for continuous operation and oversized sealed ball-bearing construction for longer tool life. In addition, the BO5031K has a variable speed control dial (4,000 - 12,000 OPM) to match the sanding speed to the material.
The dust-sealed switch minimizes dust contamination and increases durability. The efficient through-the-pad dust collection system helps provide a cleaner work environment, while the fabric dust bag has an extra wide mouth for faster disposal. The BO5031K uses quick-change 5” eight-hole hook-and-loop abrasive paper.
Model BO5031K includes abrasive paper, dust bag, and tool case (Makita offers a variety of hoses and adapters – sold separately – for attachment to vacuum systems).
