Sequential Hit Pattern delivers more efficient drilling
NOVEMBER 5, 2009 LA MIRADA, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high quality industrial power tools and accessories, is proud to announce the release of its new high 1” SDSPLUS Rotary Hammer, model HR2475. Makita’s HR2475 is both powerful (7.0 Amp) and remarkably lightweight (6.2 lbs.). The HR2475 synchronizes the impact action between RPM (revolutions per minute) and BPM (blows per minute) to prevent overlapping impacts for 2-times more efficient drilling.
“Makita knows concrete, and the HR2475 is the latest addition to our growing line of best-inclass rotary hammers,” said Anthony Corwin, product manager, commercial products. “The HR2475 is engineered to be the most effective hammer in it’s class with a powerful motor, synchronized RPM and BPM for faster drilling, and a range of other features.”
The HR2475 is powered by a 7 AMP motor with 1-1,100 RPM and 0-4,500 BPM for a range of demanding applications, with synchronized RPM and BPM for more efficient drilling. The HR2475 features a 3-mode switch for rotation, hammering with rotation, and hammering only. Optimum chisel positioning is accomplished with a 360 locking positions. The HR2475 has a built-in torque limiter to ensure stable torque control, and a “no hammering when idling” function for extra-low vibration under load.
Comfort and ease-of-use features include an ergonomic and well-balanced design with rubberized D-handle comfort grip and a soft grip side handle. Other features include the onetouch sliding chuck allows for easy bit changes, a recessed lock-on button for continuous use, and a large trigger switch. The HR2475 is an ideal choice for masons, remodelers, electricians, maintenance crews, and general contractors seeking a best-in-class 1” rotary hammer.
