NOVEMBER 5, 2009 – La Mirada, CA – Makita and the 53’ Experience More Trailer, joined a crowd of custom car enthusiasts, freestyle fanatics and more at The Palms Casino in Las Vegas for Kicker Audio’s Eighth Annual Big Air Bash on November 4. Big Air Bash 8 delivered freestyle motorcycles launching into the Las Vegas night, as well as Mini Moto racing, live DJ’s, and an array of custom cars on display. "Kicker’s ‘Livin’ Loud’ lifestyle has always registered with Makita’s high-energy audience," said Brent Withey, Makita’s Sr. Brand Manager. "The Big Air Bash at SEMA is an excellent way for us to engage serious tool users. We wouldn’t miss it."
Makita joined Oakley, Ogio, Toyota, General Tire, Air Lift, and Monster Energy as co-sponsors of the annual Kicker event, which takes place during the annual SEMA automotive trade show. Makita’s presence at the event was highlighted by its 53-foot Experience More trailer. Makita’s Experience More is an interactive tool display on wheels, delivering a dynamic hands-on experience with tool demo stations, engineering exhibits, touch screen displays with interactive video, and plasma screens throughout the trailer with high-energy video and audio footage. The trailer is fully stocked with the Makita’s latest industrial quality power tools, including the complete LXT Series of cordless tools featuring Makita’s breakthrough Lithium-Ion battery technology.
Also at the Big Air Bash was Curt, Kyle and Todd LeDuc from Rockstar Makita LeDuc Racing. The father-and-sons racing team recently had a strong finish in the 2009 TORC (The Off Road Championship) Series with second, third, and fifth place finishes overall.
