The Rebar Tying Stand-Up Extension Handle (191M28-8) connects to the 18V LXT Rebar Tying Tool (XRT01, sold separately) to tie rebar from a standing position.
August 17, 2021, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools and accessories, has launched the Rebar Tying Stand-Up Extension Handle (191M28-8). The extension handle connects to the 18V LXT® Rebar Tying Tool (XRT01, sold separately) and enables contractors to tie rebar from a standing position.

The extension handles allows the user to perform close-to-ground applications without having to bend the body. A two-finger power trigger and an auxiliary side handle makes tying from a standing position easy. The extension handle installs quickly for convenience.
18V LXT® Brushless Cordless Rebar Tying Tool (XRT01)
The Makita cordless rebar tying tool takes rebar tying from a two-handed task to single hand operation. It has a tying capacity of up to 5,300 ties of #3 x #3 diameter rebar on a single charge of an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery, twice the run time of the leading cordless competitor in the category. The XRT01 can tie two #5 diameter bars or four #4 diameter bars in under 1 second. Users can digitally adjust the tying strength to match various tension strength requirements. For fast reel changes, the efficient loading design has an automatic locking mechanism built into the protective cover.
The Rebar Tying Tool also features Fastlane Express Service, a program to expedite service specifically for this tool. Makita will offer a 3-day turnaround on repairs for the XRT01 to all XRT01 owners, in the contiguous 48 states, at no additional cost at Makita’s Factory Service Centers. Makita also offers 21-gauge steel tie wire made by American workers at the Makita manufacturing facility in Buford, GA. For applications requiring American-made industrial products and materials, the 21-gauge steel tie wire offers a welcome solution. The American-made 21-gauge Tie Wire (191L22-4) is constructed with black annealed steel for maximum strength. Each reel provides up to 120 ties for maximum productivity.
