The highly anticipated cordless grease gun delivers up to 10,000 PSI of maximum pressure

May 1, 2021, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., the leader in cordless power tool innovation, is excited to announce the 18V LXT^® Grease Gun (XPG01). Ideal for farm, fleet, and construction equipment, the grease gun delivers 10,000 PSI of maximum pressure.

The XPG01 has a maximum flow rate of 10 oz. per minute so users can work more efficiently. Grease flow is controlled with two speed modes, low speed (high-pressure) and auto-speed. Modes can be adjusted by the speed selector with additional control through the variable speed trigger.

“What makes the Makita grease gun stand out is the Auto-Speed mode,” said Carlos Quintana, Senior Product Manager, Cordless Products. “Auto-Speed mode automatically switches the flow rate to match the higher pressure of the part being greased based on resistance. This means more efficient greasing so users can get the job done faster and move on to the next zerk fitting.”

The XPG01 features a 47-1/4” flexible hose (48-inch with coupler) for greater access to reach fittings. It also has an air bleed valve to assist in faster pump priming, and built-in L.E.D. lights to locate hard to see grease fittings. A lock-on button provides convenience during longer work periods, and the lock-off will prevent the tool from accidental start-ups. The grease gun is designed to stand-up on its own or can be used with a shoulder strap for user convenience.

For improved tool performance and extended battery life, the grease gun features Star Protection Computer Controls^™. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.
