MAKITA ANNOUNCES TWO NEW COMPACT POLISHER/SANDERS

Precise detail polishing and sanding in the 18V LXT and 12V max CXT Systems

May 18, 2021, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., the leader in cordless power tool innovation, has released an 18V LXT^® Sub-Compact and 12V max CXT^® Brushless 3” Polisher/ 2” Sander (XVP01 and VP01, respectively). These compact polisher/sanders deliver detailed polishing and sanding. They are ideal for precise applications such as spot polishing micro imperfections, polishing narrow spaces, removing rust from metal surfaces, and removing scruff marks or oxidation from plastic surfaces like headlights, taillights, and convertible window screens.

18V LXT^® Sub-Compact Brushless 3” Polisher / 2” Sander (XVP01)

The 18V LXT Sub-Compact Brushless Polisher/Sander is an ideal solution for a variety of precise detail polishing or sanding applications. The XVP01 is truly compact, weighing just over 3 lbs. with an 18V LXT 2.0Ah Battery. A dual-speed selector provides 0-2,800 RPM in polish mode and 0-9,500 RPM in sanding mode. A variable speed trigger with power lock-on provides added convenience. The brushless motor enables the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer run time performance. The polisher/sander features anti-restart protection, which is engineered to prevent motor start up when the battery is inserted with power switch in locked-on position. It features rubberized gear housing helps protect delicate surfaces and an angled side handle to prevent unwanted contact with the work surface.

18V LXT^® System

It weighs 2.4 lbs. with a 12 max CXT 2.0Ah Battery. A dual-speed selector provides 0-2,800 RPM in polish mode and 0-9,500 RPM in sanding mode. A variable speed trigger with power lock-on provides added convenience. The brushless motor enables the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer run time performance. 12V max CXT^® System

The CXT System provides the utmost compact solution with superior comfort and capacity. The superior ergonomics allow easy handling.
