MAKITA LAUNCHES NEW 40V MAX XGT PRODUCTS

Expanding XGT System adds a 12-inch miter saw, plunge saw, earth auger, right angle drill, inflator, and flood light.

November 1, 2021, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., the leader in cordless power tool innovation, has launched 7 new products and accessories in the 40V max and 80V max XGT^® System, including new solutions for residential construction and more. The XGT System is a cordless system of equipment and tools designed to handle high-demand applications.

“Since its launch just 6 months ago, Makita continues to add more 40-volt and 80-volt solutions to the XGT system,” said Mario Lopez, director of product development, Makita U.S.A. “This month’s new releases give pro users more cordless options for products traditionally powered by cords or gasoline. And here’s the best part: more 40V and 80V XGT tools are on the way.”

The following XGT Products are launching this month:

Residential Construction

40V max XGT Brushless 12” Sliding Compound Miter Saw, AWS-Capable (GSL04) – The 12” sliding compound miter saw delivers faster and smoother cutting. It has a large 3-5/8” x 15” cutting capacity at 90-degrees and delivers 3,600 RPM for faster cutting performance. It is AWS-capable for wireless dust extraction (AWS transmitter sold separately). Available as kit and bare tool.

40V max XGT Brushless 6-1/2” Plunge Circular Saw (GPS01) – The plunge circular saw delivers precise, accurate cutting, especially when paired with an optional guide rail system. The saw delivers 2,500 – 4,900 RPM. It has a large 2-3/16” cutting capacity at 90-degrees and 1-1/2” at 48-degrees. The bevel capability is -1° to 48° and positive stops at 22.5° and 45°. Available as a kit and bare tool.

40V max XGT Brushless ½” Right Angle Drill (GAD01) – This powerful drill can drill up to 6-1/4” holes with hole saws and 4-5/8” holes with self-feed bits. It offers freedom from the cord for a wide range of drilling applications around the job site. Available as a kit and bare tool.

40V max XGT Brushless 7/16” Hex Right Angle Drill (GAD02) – The hex right angle drill also offers freedom from the cord for a wide range of drilling applications. It features a brushless motor and two-speed transmission with variable speeds of 0-350 RPM and 0-1,400 RPM. Available as a kit and bare tool.

Outdoor Power Equipment

40V max XGT Brushless Earth Auger (GGD01) – The battery-powered earth auger delivers the power of a 36cc gas earth auger. It digs even and consistent holes, up to 8” wide and 41” deep. The earth auger is available in kit and bare tool. Accessories include 8”, 6” and 4” drill bits, as well as a 21” extension bar (all sold separately).

40V max XGT L.E.D. Work Light (ML003G) – Brighten the job site with this flood light. It provides 1,100 lumens of light at full brightness, 450 lumens on the low setting. The light can provide up to 10 hours of light on high and 22 hours of light on the low setting with a XGT 4.0Ah Battery (sold separately). It is IP65-rated for improved operation in harsh job site conditions.

40V max XGT Inflator (MP001GZ01) – The cordless inflator quickly inflates car tires, bike tires, and sports balls. It delivers up to 160 PSI. The compact design allows for easy portability and convenient storage.

40V | 80V max XGT^® System

XGT is a system of equipment, tools, batteries, and chargers utilizing 40V max lithium-ion batteries. XGT is engineered to deliver high power to take on high-demand applications, allowing users to completely transition to a cordless job site. XGT is equipped with advanced brushless motor engineering, intelligent digital communication, and superior durability features to outpower, outsmart and outlast the rest. The XGT System offers two power ranges: 40V max and 80V max, achieved by pairing two 40V max XGT Batteries together.
