MAKITA EXPANDS MAKTRAK®, THE NEXT GENERATION IN MODULAR STORAGE SYSTEMS

New tool boxes are compatible with existing MAKTRAK® products

November 3, 2026, La Mirada, CA –Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools, outdoor power equipment and accessories, has expanded the MAKTRAK® Modular Storage System to include three new storage solutions and a series of low-profile organizers for storing and organizing smaller accessories, fasteners and more.

MAKTRAK® TOOL BOX RELEASES

· Rolling Tool Box (T-90227): Features a telescopic handle and 9” all-terrain wheels with shallow treads for convenient transportation in a variety of jobsite environments

· Rolling Single Drawer Tool Box (T-90233): Drawer features dual-slide drawer rails and can be accessed without unstacking

· Compact Tool Box (T-90211): Features six organizing compartments that allow the user to split the interior space for increased organization

· Low-Profile Sub-Compact Organizer (T-90299): Features layered foam customizable inserts for increased protection of tools

· Low-Profile Sub-Compact Box with Customizable Foam (T-90308): Features open storage boxes for organizing insert bits or other small accessories

MAKTRAK® gives users the ability to open storage boxes and get tools and accessories without unstacking. The dual-hinged lids allow access from both sides, and the innovative design means the handle won’t get in the way.

Added points of difference include the innovative open channel self-cleaning connection system, which allows for quick attachment for stacking and quick detachment when needed. This convenient connection system combined with the variety of tool box sizes gives users multiple configurations that can be specific to the needs of almost any job site.

The MAKTRAK® System includes a full line of stackable and configurable tool boxes that feature innovative storage solutions that can be customized to fit the needs of almost any user. The new MAKTRAK® expansion is backed by an interactive web page that allows users to select and stack MAKTRAK® elements on-screen, then view their selection in a 3-dimensional view application and download a PDF of their configuration. They can also share their MAKTRAK® configuration with friends via email or on their Facebook and Twitter pages. Users can also search for a Makita Authorized Dealer.
