April 13, 2007 – La Mirada, Calif. – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high quality industrial power tools and accessories, will extend its visibility in the world of live race events with the Team Makita Suzuki Monster Truck competing in the nationally televised Monster Truck Jam in Las Vegas this weekend. Team Makita Suzuki driver Bobby Parr will be at the wheel of a modified Chevy S-10, equipped with 66” Terra Tires, a COAN 2-Speed Transmission, and a 540 ci Merlin Engine with 1465 horsepower. Team Makita Suzuki’s truck qualified for the Las Vegas event based on wins posted so far this season. The coverage on CBS, airing Sunday, is a rebroadcast of the finals held in Las Vegas March 24-25.
