NOVEMBER 2, 2007 LA MIRADA, CA - Makita USA, Inc., manufacturer of high quality industrial power tools and accessories is proud to announce the launch of a new addition to the company’s growing industrial hammer line, model HR4002 1-9/16" SDS-MAX Rotary Hammer.
The hammer features two mode setting: hammering-with-rotation and hammering-only. It also has a soft grip for more comfort and control, and a one-touch sliding chuck for easy bit changes. The HR4002 is a versatile, high-powered rotary hammer for heavy-duty applications. It features a built-in torque limiter that ensures stable torque control, and disengages the motor should the bit bind or hit reinforcements. The HR4002 packs plenty of power, with a 10 AMP motor delivering a no-load speed of 680 RPM and 2,500 impacts-per-minute, yet it weighs just 13.7 pounds. The tool also has a straight side-handle and D-handle, both with rubberized grips, as well as a large rubberized rear handle. Both contribute to the overall comfort of the tool.
The HR4002 is built for masons, demolition contractors, maintenance crews, plumbers, electricians, and general contractors for a wide range of applications, including drilling through holes for pipes, setting large anchors, drilling in wood and metal, core drilling, and demolition work.
