The staplers combine a range of features for durable and reliable performance for pro-level work.
“The AT1150A and AT2550A are designed to be reliable and easy to use, but they’re also built to stand up to the day-to-day demands of the professional,” said Roderick Dick, Makita senior product manager. “These two new products complete our line of staplers, and are a worthy addition to Makita’s growing line of industrial quality pneumatic tools.”
Both tools feature a depth-drive adjustment, allowing users to drive staples to the precise level on the surface. The depth can be adjusted up to 3/16” (5mm) by sliding the adjusting plate up or down. A quick-release “tool-less” cam-lock opens the guide assembly to easily clear jammed staples and minimize downtime, while the durable, top-loading magazine allows the user to quickly load 18 GA staples from 1” to 2” in length, with a capacity of 140 staples.
The built-in air filter minimizes dust and debris from entering, and when the hose is released, back pressure clears debris out of the tool. And the multi-directional exhaust port rotates 360 degrees to control the direction of exhaust air away from the user.
In addition to these performance features, both nailers are durable and easy to use. The rubber stylized logos on either side of the tool act as bumpers to protect the tool and the work surface from damage. The rubber hand-grips provide better control and comfortable handling, and the retractable sky hook keeps the tool close by but never in the way.
The AT1150A Medium Crown Stapler is built for light-duty fastening, including sub-flooring and furniture construction. The AT2550A Wide Crown Stapler is engineered for lathing, roofing, and other heavier duty tasks. Both tools include the nailer, oil supply, safety goggles, hex wrench, and tool hook.
