The 18V LXT Brushless Cordless Power Scraper offers total mobility to contractors

February 18, 2020, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., the innovation leader in power tools and accessories, has introduced the new 18V LXT^® Brushless Cordless AVT^® Power Scraper Kit (XKH01Z) and Tool Only (XKH01Z). This cordless scraper accepts SDS Plus bits and provides total mobility to concrete scraping, chiseling, scaling, and light-duty breaking applications.

The XKH01 features a variable impact speed of 0 - 3,200 BPM and 2.2 ft.lbs. of impact energy. Key applications include general light chipping, removing exterior wall materials, and removing flooring materials such as tile, carpet, grout or adhesives.

The power scraper has twelve bit-angle settings, allowing the bit to be set at different positions for operating convenience. Other features include an electric brake, constant speed control, variable speed dial, built-in L.E.D. light, and a retractable tool hook. For added durability in harsh job site conditions, Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) is engineered for improved dust and water resistance.

Anti-Vibration Technology

For reduced vibration, it’s equipped with Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT^®). AVT is an internal design isolating the entire housing mold from the internal hammering mechanism to reduce vibration. An ergonomic soft-grip handle provides additional comfort. A large trigger reduces hand fatigue by allowing the user to use multiple fingers to press the power button. A power lock-on button is also available for use over a continuous period of operation.

18V LXT Lithium-Ion System

It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita^® 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.
