1-9/16 in. AVT® Rotary Hammer, model HR4013C.
La Mirada, CA – Makita has expanded its line-up of concrete hammers with a new 1-9/16” AVT® Rotary Hammer that has 45% less vibration and 20% more impact energy than the previous model. The new HR4013C is engineered with enhanced Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT®), a synchronized three-component system for significantly less vibration. The result of the enhanced AVT® is a category-leading vibration rating of 5m/s².
Performance and Comfort
“In the development of new tools, Makita engineers focus not only on power and specs, but also on the end-user’s comfort when using the tools,” said Adam Livingston, Product Manager, Commercial Products, Makita USA. “The new HR4013C with enhanced Anti-Vibration Technology gives concrete contractors the lowest vibration in the 1-9/16” category, while at the same time delivering 20% more impact energy for all-day industrial applications. This is a remarkable engineering achievement, and a great solution for contractors.”
Enhanced Anti-Vibration Technology
"Many rotary hammers have a spring-loaded handle as their primary means of reducing vibration,” said Livingston. “This enhanced three-component AVT® system is advanced technology that is engineered inside the tool. This new AVT® is far superior to simple one-component systems, so users get substantial vibration reduction.”
More Power, Less Vibration
Additional features include constant speed control that automatically applies additional power to the motor to maintain speed under load, soft start for more control and greater accuracy, and a torque-limiting clutch. The HR4013C offers 2-mode operation for “chipping only” or “hammering with rotation”, as well as 24 bit angle settings and a one-touch sliding chuck for quick bit changes.
