CORDLESS NIBBLER IS LATEST ADDITION TO 18V LXT® LITHIUM-ION LINE-UP

Latest Addition to Expanding LXT® Line-Up

The new cordless Nibbler is the latest addition to Makita’s expanding 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion line-up, with over 60 tools powered by one 18V Lithium-Ion battery that reaches a full charge in only 30 minutes.

“With the release of the new LXNJ01, Makita is continuing to provide contractors with more 18V LXT® metal cutting solutions,” said Mario Lopez, Makita Product Manger, Cordless Tools. “The LXNJ01 is engineered for cutting corrugate metal roof decking, sheet metal, and stainless steel, and it will do the job without the cord. It is ideal for metal roofing and decking contractors, HVAC, and metal fab shop work.”

Fast and Smooth Cutting, Without the Cord

The new LXNJ01 is powered by a Makita-built motor that delivers 1,900 strokes-per-minute (SPM) for fast and smooth cutting. The die holder rotates 360° to meet the demands of the cutting direction, with a cutting radius of 1-3/4” (inner edge) and 2” (outer edge). The LXNJ01’s high capacity is ideal for cutting roofing sheet metal at thicknesses up to 16 gauge.

When cutting, the metal chips are conveniently disposed below the cutting material, which helps prevent damage to the work surface. In addition, a battery capacity warning system turns on an indicator light and automatically stops the motor to notify the user when it is time to recharge the battery. An additional feature is the anti-restart function, which prevents the motor from starting up when the battery is inserted with the switch locked on.

Additional ease-of-use features include a rubberized soft grip, built-in thickness gauge, and easy punch and die replacement for reduced downtime (punch and die sold separately).
