Reviewer notes the vacuum's power, versatility, fittings, and more
We sent Homefixated.com an 18V Compact LIthium-Ion Cordless Vacuum (BCL180W), and they gave it to a pro tradesman for a full review. Paul is co-owner of Sundown Blinds and he and his crew regularly use Makita 18V tools during their custom blinds installations. The BCL180W allowed Paul and his crew to leave the bulky corded vac behind and avoid investing in a new battery system since they already had Makita 18V Lithium-Ion tools.
They tried it out for a couple months and were impressed with the power and versatility (it accepts the 18V Compact Lithium-Ion battery, and the full-size 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery). One unexpected benefit was the floor fitting. Paul noticed that the Makita floor cleaning head has rollers and a squeegee that helps it glide across carpet and hardwood floors -- unlike cheaper fittings that often scrape on hardwood floors.
