MAKITA RELEASES NEW 18V CORDLESS CHAIN SAW, IDEAL FOR LIMING APPLICATIONS

LXCU01Z 4-1/2” chain saw is latest addition to expanding 18V Lithium-Ion platform

18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 4-1/2" Chain Saw (battery and charger sold separately).

La Mirada, CA   Makita, a worldwide manufacturer of technologically advanced power tools that are more compact with less weight yet deliver industrial strength power and results, has released the new 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Cordless 4-1/2” Chain Saw, model LXCU01Z.

Latest OPE tool in Expanding 18V Line-Up
The new LXCU01Z Chain Saw is the latest addition to the expanding 18V LXT® line up, with 65+ cordless tools powered by Makita’s 18V Lithium-Ion battery that reaches a full charge in only 30 minutes.  It is also another Makita cordless option to gas-powered and corded outdoor power equipment.

"Outdoor power equipment has been underrepresented in the cordless category, and the LXCU01Z is another great opportunity for landscapers to go cordless for trimming and cutting applications,” said Mario Lopez, Makita Product Manager, Cordless Tools. “Makita cordless OPE tools have less noise, reduced maintenance and zero emissions. It’s a great option for landscapers.”

Corded Performance with the Convenience of Cordless
The LXCU01 has a 4-1/2” guide bar and delivers 980 FPM for increased cutting speed. The 4-1/2” bar and compact size (16-5/8” long and only 5.4 lbs. with battery, sold separately) makes it ideal for liming applications. The saw has zero emissions and reduced maintenance, with no need to change engine oil or spark plug, clean an air filter or drain fuel for storage: simply insert a charged 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery and the tool is ready for work.

Added benefits include “tool-less” chain adjustments for convenient user operation and maintenance, as well as a front hand guard engineered to actuate the electric brake when engaged. Ease-of-use features include the adjustable automatic chain lubrication with large oil reservoir, as well as the large oil filling port with view window.

The LXCU01Z includes the tool, guide bar, and chain (18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery and Rapid Optimum Charger sold separately).
