5.5 HP Big Bore™ Gas Air Compressor (MAC5501G)

Compressors are workhorse tools on the jobsite, and Makita compressors are contractor favorites for their faster recovery time, lower noise, longer tool life, and consistent jobsite performance. The new MAC5501G has a powerful Honda GX160 4-stroke engine for increased performance and superior reliability, with a “V” Twin style pump that runs cooler and provides up to 12.5 CFM at 100 PSI for faster recovery.

Larger tank capacity reduces the amount of times the motor and pump have to work to refill the tanks, and the MAC5501G features 10-gallon twin tanks to provide air supply for multiple nailers, delivering more work and making it ideal for commercial framing applications. The distinctive “V” Twin style pump provides the piston with separate air chambers that generate less heat around the piston while delivering higher CFM (12.5@ 100 PSI) for faster recovery.

Cast Iron Pump
Additional features include a cast iron pump with Big Bore™ cylinder and piston, which provides longer durability than aluminum pumps and faster recovery time for improved performance.
