The new 40V max XGT® 3" x 21" Belt Sander (GSB01) gives users a wood surfacing and sanding tool that offers faster sanding speeds than corded.
January 3, 2025, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools, power equipment, and accessories, has released the 40V max XGT® 3" x 21" Belt Sander (GSB01) giving users a wood surfacing and sanding tool that offers up to 20% faster sanding speeds than corded*.
Faster Sanding Speeds
The new XGT® Belt Sander gives users a powerful and portable sanding tool that is ideal for a wide variety of applications. It offers users faster sanding speeds than corded, without all the hassles of a cord. It features an adjustable front grip for sanding flush to walls as well as using the nose and the side of the sander.
Variable Speed Control
The GSB01 gives the user more control with a variable speed dial that allows adjustments from 390 – 1,540 ft./min.to match the speed to the application. It also features an auto belt tracking system that keeps the belt in proper alignment without adjustment.
Stationary Sanding
The 3" x 21" Belt Sander gives users more sanding options with the ability to clamp the sander in a stationary position for sanding, grinding, and shaping of various materials. Using the Clamper Set (part no.192694-6) sold separately, users can clamp the sander in a stationary position and sand various materials with precision.
Convenience Features
Convenience features include an innovative design for optimal tool and battery weight balance, an adjustable L.E.D. light that illuminates the work area, and a dust bag for a cleaner work environment. The GSB01 also features a trigger with a lock-on button that allows various sanding applications.
XGT®: One System of Cordless Equipment and Tools
The new Belt Sander is part of Makita XGT®, an expanding system of 40V max and 80V max cordless equipment and tools. XGT® gives users one system, from core handheld tools like drills and impact drivers to equipment-grade products including high-capacity saws, rotary hammers, and power cutters – all powered by 40V max XGT® batteries. The expanding XGT® System will offer 125+ products in 2025.
